Acolyte Faction Symbol

A design for a faction symbol for the heroic Acolytes in the upcoming 'Countdown to Ragna Rock' comic.

Basically, the idea is supposed to invoke the fact that they're on the side of the angels, hence the wing-like protrustion from the symbol. Of course, the 'A' stands for Acolyte, so no further explanation needed there, right?

The text is basically a hand drawn version of the 'Nosegrind Demo' font, with a couple of tweaks here and there. I used a few Gradients here and there, as well as the Plastic Wrap tool. Of course, you can see an unaltered version of the symbol to your left.

Also, if you look really carefully, you can actually find all of the letters that spell 'Acolyte' in there! (A couple will require your imagination, so go nuts.)
