BURN TO THE GROUND- AHAHAHA

I figured it was high time to introduce you guys to some of the villains in the CTR universe. And who better than the resident insane pyromaniac (and the first villain to make an appearance in the comic), Inferno?

Origin?: Unknown
Team: Shadow Guild
Notable Powers/Abilities: A purely pyrokinetic being, Inferno's very body is aflame. Is capable of launching fire-based projectiles from his body, and uses jets of flame and his own thermal heat to fly. Occasionally carries a morning star like weapon made of rock and magma.


BIO:

If Inferno isn't setting something on fire and laughing gleefully at the resulting chaos as said object burns to the ground, it's a miracle. Inferno is extremely insane, and, as such, extremely dangerous, as he is a clear-cut example of power in the wrong hands.
Never content with anything unless it's on fire, Inferno is a one man(?) engine of destruction, if not, at the very least, one that's described as 'a few fries short of a Happy Meal'.

In his own, twisted mind, he's just somebody looking for a bit of fun. Unfortunately for everybody else, that idea of 'fun' involves laughing hysterically as people run around screaming as they go up in flames, cities and neighbourhoods reduced to smouldering ash at his hands, and, most annoyingly, his habit of cracking fire-based puns and jokes as the world burns around him. This makes a lot of people bitter at him, but they're just spoilsports, according to Inferno.

What really chafes him, however, is whenever he looks for a good time, an Acolyte or two would be there to dampen his fun. In particular, he despises Commander Blaze for humiliating him a good while back.

While Inferno commonly goes off and does his own thing, he serves the Shadow Guild and therefore answers to a higher authority. One which doesn't actually mind Inferno burning things, just as long as said things being burned aren't what he's looking for. Sadly, a bored mind and the mentality of a kid with a magnifying glass on a hot summer day has wreaked havoc on quite a few missions, quite to the annoyance of his superiors.


COSTUME:

Inferno's costume is slightly reminiscent of a German trooper's uniform from WWII, with the obvious omission of details such as the characteristic helmet. His boots glow with magma, and many portions of his body are exposed just to demonstrate how 'hot' he is. The shoulder vents which fire jets of flame occasionally are really just for show- in peaks of anger, these vents will spew flames furiously.

The Shadow Guild insignia adorns his vest.


But, just to show that he has a sense of humour, he actually stuck several 'smiley face' buttons on his suspender guards. He pretty much figures you'd need some cheering up whilst being roasted alive, anyway.


PERSONALITY:

An insane, cackling loon with a German accent and absolutely no regard for human life, Inferno seems to find humour in everything, up to the point where he doesn't take anything seriously. Or, at least, it seems that way until you really tick him off, at which point he's more focused and tends to really turn up the heat. *groans*

He tends to make insane wisecracks as he goes about his business, mostly bad fire puns and jokes. Really. They are -awful-.

He hates the Acolytes and would like nothing more than to see them burn, but Commander Blaze really gets his goat.
Aside from obvious jealousy that the leader of the Acolytes is a rival fire-wielder, Blaze has also humiliated Inferno in the past, which can possibly explain why he's so unhinged nowadays. He seems pretty wary of Crystal, as water can cause devastating damage to his own body.

Inferno's weakness is his inability to focus- any task at hand, no matter how simple or complex, can quickly turn to "SET EVERYTHING ON FIRE" in two seconds flat if he becomes bored with his assignment. He isn't incompetent, mind you, but once it enters his mind, he has extreme difficulty getting back on track. He can be outwitted in this manner, but defeating him can be a chore.
