Follow your dreams...

Whew. FINALLY, it's done. After 11 hours of blood, sweat and tears (not necessarily in that order), it's DONE.

I was thinking long and hard about this one, personally.
At first, Kimi was going to be sad in this piece, but I decided against it.

As fans of AGU, we should remember the joy that AGU brought into our lives, from the friends we have made on the forums, to the anxiety we feel as we await each Cooltoons newsletter, to all the things the fans, both old and new, have brought to the table in the name of this show. Let's face it....we, as fans, have done lots in the name of the show, and we should be happy that AGU, as brief as it was, has brought all of that to us.

So, in this one, Kimi is looking back, thinking about it all.
The show may be over, but Kimi, like the rest of the AGU gang, has dreams that she'd like to follow, long after AGU. And, as shown in the picture, she implores the viewer to always follow their dreams, and never forget them.

This pic tapped a lot out of me. It felt like I was going through memory lane, here, actually. For starters, this pic is actually a remake of the very first Kimi pic I ever did (you can even see it right next to Kimi in this one....heh.... ). The nightsky rendering is taken from the Halloween and the Zombie Kimi pictures (hey, what can I say? I really liked how I rendered the sky for those) and I employed the techniques that I learned throughout my entire career as an AGU fanartist:

- The gradients used to produce the night-like atmosphere from 'Wish you were here';
- Manipulating the 'Kimi Final' (the first pic I ever did) to look like a photo, something I did previously in "Kimi Daydreams";
- The shading and texture of Kimi's hair, something I haven't really explored until "KimiCampfire".


Also, a few people have brought to my attention that I should really start doing my own backgrounds for a change, so, I am very proud to say that this background is 100% done by me, but MAN, was it a chore. I had to scramble for rulers and my 'How to Draw Manga' books to render the houses and trees properly (unfortunately, a few goofs here and there). However, despite my inexperience, this would actually be the third picture where I did my own backgrounds - the first being "Kimi....wants your brain!" and the second being "Happy Halloween 2004!". I am happy with how this one came out, and I'm hoping you guys enjoy it, too.


The title is inspired by the Project A-KO song of the same name. I was listening to that and the Tekken: DR soundtrack alllll day. Go figure.
